 Congress candidate Brijendra Singh Yadav won in Mungaoli by defeating BJP's Bhai Sahab Deshraj Singh Yadav by 2,124 votes.

  2. In Mungaoli, the Bharatiya Janata Party is slowly reducing the Congress lead. In 13, 14, and 15 rounds, the party is leading. The Congress party’s lead has been reduced to only 2501.
  3. After 11 rounds of voting, Congress extends lead on Mungaoli seat. Congress ahead by 1642 seats, total votes 5244.
  4. In Mungaoli, Congress candidate Brijendra Singh Yadav is ahead by 2197 votes after the completion of the fifth round of counting.
  5. Congress candidate, Brijendra Singh Yadav, who was trailing against the BJP candidate Baisahab Yadav initially has gained a lead now. The Congress candidate is leading by over 1300 votes against the BJP candidate.
  6. The third round of vote count ends in Mungaoli. As per the trends, Congress candidate Brijendra Singh Yadav is leading against BJP’s Baisahab Yadav by 1381 votes.
  7. After the second round of vote count, Congress’s Brijendra Singh Yadav has gained a lead against the BJP candidate by 174 votes.
  8. The lead by the Congress candidate is increasing. Earlier it was 21 votes. Now, it has increased to 31 votes. Congress’s Brijendra Singh is ahead of BJP’s Baisahab Yadav.
  9. Congress turns tables, the Congress candidate Brijendra Singh Yadav has taken lead against BJP contender Baisahab Yadav in Mungaoli by 21 votes.
  10. After the second round of vote count, the BJP candidate has maintained his lead. Baisahab Yadav is leading against Congress’s Brijendra Singh Yadav by over 300 votes.
  11. BJP’s Baisahab Yadav is leading against Congress’s Brijendra Singh Yadav by 105 votes. The BJP candidate has got 3,905 votes whereas, the Congress candidate has bagged 3,800 votes.
  12. The BJP and the Congress are the main contenders from the seat.
  13. The outcome of Mungaoli Assembly bye-election 2018 is seen as a prestige battle for both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress as it is likely to set the mood. 
  14. Voting for Mungaoli Assembly bye-election 2018 was held on February 24. Bypoll to Mungaoli Assembly constituency, which was held on Saturday, recorded 77 percent turnout.

Mungaoli(Madhya Pradesh) By Poll Election 2018 

The by-elections to the Mungaoli and Kolaras assembly constituencies in Madhya Pradesh will be held on February 24, the Election Commission announced on Friday.

  1. The two assembly seats were represented by the Congress prior to them falling vacant.
  2. The bypolls for the two seats assume importance given the fact that assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh are expected to take place in October-November this year.
  3. Senior Congress leader and MP from Guna Jyotiraditya Scindia is leading the campaign in both the constituencies for the party.Meanwhile, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has addressed a number of public meetings in the two constituencies.
  4. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is February 9,” a poll official informed.
