DC reviews Special Summary Revision of Municipal Electoral Roll

POONCH: Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Yadav convened a meeting regarding Special Summary Revision of Municipal Electoral Roll, 2018. The meeting was attended by ACR B A Lone, Dy District Election officer Shashi Bala, Election Nb Tehsildar Mohd Ali Mughal and representatives of various political parties. It was given out in the meeting that as per schedule from 04-13 August people can file their claims and objections in the Municipal Electoral roll to rectify or enter their names.
Special Camps at Polling Stations was held on August 5, 2018 (Sunday) and again will be held on August 12, 2018 (Sunday).
Disposal ofclaims and objections shall be done by 18.08.2018 and final publication of Municipal Electoral Roll will be given on September 4, 2018. The Deputy Commissioner asked the representatives of various political parties to appoint their booth level agents and provide the list of same to his office at the earliest for the smooth conduct of Elections. Further the DC directed for awareness of Municipal Election through campaigning by polling station level officers so that maximum participation of people is ensured in the Municipal Elections. Yadav also chaired a meeting to discuss the Microplan to start vaccination campaign of Measles and Rubella.
The meeting was attended by CMO Dr Mumtaz Bhatti, Dy CMO Dr Shamim-un-Nisa, Dr Arvind from WHO, representatives from Army, District and representatives from the departments of Health, Education, Municipality and members of civil societies.
