Even as BJP MLAs appear keen for a shot a power in Delhi, reports claimed on Friday that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is not keen on the BJP forming a government.  The RSS holds the view that any attempt top garner numbers for majority may not go down well with the people and would end projected the BJP as a party hungry for power, reports said. 



With assembly elections due in many states in the coming months, the RSS feels the move may harm the BJP in other states as well. Meanwhile, the party leadership is said to be under pressure from MLAs on the matter and want a decision to be taken without any further delay. The situation is expected to get more clarity after Finance Minister Arun Jaitley presents the Delhi budget today.

However, with both the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress keeping a strict watch on their MLAs, any attempted breaking away of a section of MLAs may lead to confrontation. AAP has already declared that they will not allow the BJP to form the government and demanded that fresh polls be conducted at the earliest. AAP leader has alleged that the BJP is indulging in horse-trading to buy opposition MLAs.Also Read--

Importantly, Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay, who had earlier had said all options are open for the party later claimed that the BJP did not have the numbers to form the government. Upadhyay instead suggested that the AAP and the Congress should come together again and form the government.
