Election Commission announced the election schedule for upcoming assembly election 2013 in Chhattisgarh.

The Election Commission will today announce the schedule for assembly elections in five states of Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram.

Assembly Election in Chhattisgarh will be held in two phases

first phase will be held on 11 November 2013 and the secound will be held on 14 november 2013 due to naxal-affected area . In both phases election will be Complete in the availability of security forces.

The poll schedule was finalised at a meeting of the Commission chaired by Chief Election Commissioner V S Sampath and two Election Commissioners H S Brahma and Nasim Zaidi, where other top EC officials were also present.

According to sources, the assembly elections in the poll- bound states will be staggered starting from the second half of November and end by the first week of December.

(For elections to 18 Assembly Constituencies listed in Annexure I)

Phase – 2
(For elections to 72 Assembly Constituencies listed in Annexure II)

Counting for both the phases shall be held on: 08.12.2013 (Sunday)
Date before which the election shall be completed: 11.12.2013 (Wednesday)

Election date: Election compelet in two phases

First phases:- 11 November 2013

Secound phases:- 14 November 2103

Election Result Date: 8 December 2013

Last time the elections took place in Oct 2008, so it will re occur in Oct-Nov 2013. It has

90 Assembly Constituencies.
